Nectarine Problems

October 13, 2009

Pat has a problem with her minature nectarine tree (see below).  Can anyone help?  (Ed.)

Hi, I am a COGS member and I am hoping that someone can help me with a problem. I planted a miniature nectarine tree as bare root stock last winter and it flowered and now has lots of leaves. Yesterday I noticed that many leaves have a brownish discolouration on them and some leaves are curled. I suspect that the discoloured  leaves will also curl soon.

Can you suggest a non chemical method of dealing with this problem?

Thank you.

Pat

Hi Pat, I come from the Bega Valley where there is a lot of Curly Leaf- some people I know just pick the leaves off
the trees & put them straight in the rubbish to keep the leaves away from everything in the garden. Tedious yes but
it has worked for those who have done it. Good luck!!!
