Water Chestnuts Available
Michael Bell has some water chestnuts available to go to a good home (see below). If you would like to try some, please reply and I will pass on Michael’s contact details. (Ed)
“I have 15 to 17 Waterchestnuts from last season that have re-sprouted and it’s getting close to, if not the right time, to plant them out. If anyone would like one or two to try for themselves, please let me know and we can arrange either a pickup or dropoff.
These are offspring from from stock that I originally got through the Digger’s Club.
To give an indicator of their growth, I put three into a bathtub last year and it was full of them by the time they were harvested in July this year. This year I’ll be trying just two to see how well they do.
Cheers
Michael”

It would appear that the last of the waterchestnuts should be gone by the end of this weekend. Many thanks to those who have accepted them and I hope you have great harvests!!.
I hope to have more available next year.
Cheers
Michael
