Lime Tree Problems

February 2, 2010

Hi, I am seeking some assistance with my lime tree. I have a reasonable crop of limes on my tree – but they are hard and have no juice. What am I doing wrong. Is there anything I can do to the tree or soil to produce juicy limes?

Any advice would be appreciated

John

    G’Day John!

This same question was posed on Gardening Australia last year and the advice given was to apply potash around the rootball area. We did that with our Meyer lemon tree but it hasn’t made a lot of difference.

Maybe someone else might be able to offer some useful advice.

    Hi JOhn,

Hubby and I nursed a lime tree back from certain death many years back. It depends on the symptoms. Can we get some more info in an effort to help you out? Eg, where is it planted, what is the soil like, are there pests evident, are the leaves discoloured or curling?

Happy to help if I can, just needing more to go on!
    Ray
