Artichoke and Asparagus questions

Good day,

Just gotten three globe artichoke and three   asparagus plants.
We are in between Crookwell and Bathurst and do get some some severe frosts.
 How frost hardy are these little plants.
 We do have a choice of growing them inside an igloo.
 Any words of wisdom?
