Has anyone heard of a beetroot variety called BUTTERCUT. I have searched far and wide and have not seen any reference. I have a friend who says this is the variety she has but cannot find any growing or harvesting information. Gardening Aust directed me to your website.

I have a question about potatoes please.
I planted potatoes late winter and they grew really well into bushy green plants through the spring. They have not flowered – 2 weeks ago I noticed that the leaves at the bottom of the plants were yellowing. Today most of the plants are drying up and dying. They are growing in a ceramic container. I wonder if they are water logged! or the soil deficient in something. What should I do? Appreciate any advice.

Hi,
I have a question about pest control. Last year my veg garden was inundated with earwigs, I used a pyrethrum spray and put out beer traps to no effect. The whole garden was eaten to the ground ,only the mature tomato plants survived. Please any helpful ideas would be appreciated as I have as yet to do my planting out.

HI All,
I am seeking some advice on what people may plant in with their chickens. We have a few at school that I look after and I’d like to plant some dedicated shrubs/plants/annual crops that can both shade and feed them. I have a few books I am reading through and also googling (of course!) but would appreciate any advice people may have to offer.
