Kambah Community Garden has been operating since 2001.

We have around 40 gardeners allocated individual plots which they put to productive use growing food all year round for themselves and their families, using sustainable organic gardening practices.

We aim to foster a strong community feel in the garden through our regular monthly meetings and occasional social events. Plot holders share in general maintenance tasks to keep the site tidy and safe, and to present a favourable image of COGS to the public.

Connection to the Canberra community is important to us. We welcome visitors and hold open days, featuring our annual plant sale, sausage sizzle and food stall, and a program of speakers. Proceeds from these events go towards improving the garden and to selected charities.

The Kambah Garden also participates in the annual Floriade Community event with tulips and annuals providing a colourful and brilliant display in spring.
